Larry C. Whipple is currently working as a Senior Technical Architect at
SeraNova, Inc. where he is in charge of the technology used in the
Volkswagen of America web site (vw.com). He has also served as CEO/CTO for
iShopper, Inc and VP of Web Development for MicroDomain. He authors a
regular column - eBusiness Architect Advisor for eBusiness Advisor Magazine
and has consulted, taught and lectured across the United States on the
subjects of Electronic Commerce, eBusiness and software design and
development.
Mr. Whipple began his career in the mid-80s as a Systems Engineer for
Electronic Data Systems where he worked on everything from large mainframe
computer systems applications written in COBOL and PL/1 to Verifone credit
card readers - as well as nearly every class of machine in between. Over
the years he has build applications in nearly a score of development
languages in nearly as many operating systems.
Mr. Whipple has worked in various industries and in various positions over
the years including programmer, technical lead, project manager, consultant,
and various others already mentioned. He holds certifications in several
technologies and received his baccalaureate degree in Business Management
from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Mr. Whipple currently lives in Bountiful, Utah with his two children.
