Chapter 3 - Page 61 (2004/7/21)

In the paragraph discussing the new dependency file in VFP 8, we stated: "The GDIPlus.dll file must be registered before the VFP8R.dll if you are manually installing them or using an installer package that is not using Windows Installer Merge Modules."

The correction is: "The GDIPlus.dll file must be installed before the VFP8R.dll can be registered if you are manually installing the run-times, or using an installer package that is not using the Windows Installer Merge Modules."

Thanks to Jeff Zakula for finding this errata.

Chapter 5 - Page 110 (2004/7/29)

The URL at the end of the note the describing various ways to obtain the complete Platform SDK is no longer current. For information about obtaining the SDK go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/platformsdk. This page has a link to the Platform SDK download page and a link to order the SDK on CD.

In the section discussing the product version, we stated "You should always change the product version of the MSI file when you release a new setup package into the wild." This sentence should read "You should always change the product version of the MSI file when you release a new version of your product into the wild."

As described elsewhere in this chapter, small updates to a product use the same product version as the earlier release of the product.
